things for our classrooms to aid in the educational process.

This grant provided us with materials to
create a hands-on approach to science.

With this grant, we received our calendar rug
and many big books to use as innovative
writings.

and LEF for $1,000.

Let the Games Begin
With this grant, we received a ton of math
games and language games to help us learn
the FUNdamentals.

This grant was funded by LEF for $913.56.

ABCDEFG Story Retelling is GREAT FOR ME!
With this grant, we received our puppet
center, storytelling apron to retell stories and
our literacy rug.

The grant was funded by Woman's Foundation
and LEF for $1,000.

Let the Pages Come To Life!

With this grant, we received more science
materials that correlated to our science
book.

This grant was funded by Woman's
Foundation for $990.56.
2005 - 2006
180 Days Flat

With this grant, we read Flat Stanley and
then we make our own flat student and send
them to another part of the country. When
they come back to us, they have tons of
information to share.  We received our map
with this grant.

This grant was funded by LEF for $216.72.

INFORMAZING TEXT

With this grant, we received thousands of
nonfiction books.  We set up a buddy
reading program with fourth graders. The
fourth graders come into our classrooms
every month and read about a certain
topic.  We will be starting up this grant at
the end of October.  The students love
their buddies!

2006 - 2007
A Writing Community

With this grant, we received a mailing system.
 We have a mini post office in our classroom
and the students are learning the techniques of
letter writing.

Donor's Choose for $255.00.

A Hot Dot Would Mean a Lot

With this grant, we received 8 hot dot
pens and language arts and math cardsthat
engage students in learning different skills.
The students use the pens as a self
checking tool during centers.

2007-2008
Beat The Clock

In beat the clock, students are given a page on
addition or subtraction facts with a timer and
dry erase marker.  Students keep their timed
scores and try to beat their scores each
session.

Let's Get Centered On Learning

With this grant, students will have more
chances during centers to learn about
homophones, contractions, and other
language skills.

Our class won a set of activotes given by
Promethean for the most flipcharts submitted
in 2007!  These activotes are used with our
activboard as a fun assessment tool!  THANKS
