With this grant, we read Flat Stanley and then we make our own flat student and send them to another part of the country. When they come back to us, they have tons of information to share. We received our map with this grant.

2005 - 2006 INFORMAZING TEXT
With this grant, we received thousands of nonfiction books. We set up a buddy reading program with fourth graders. The fourth graders come into our classrooms every month and read about a certain topic. We will be starting up this grant at the end of October. The students love their buddies!

In beat the clock, students are given a page on addition or subtraction facts with a timer and dry erase marker. Students keep their timed scores and try to beat their scores each session.
