In beat the clock, students are given a page on addition or subtraction facts with a timer and dry erase marker. Students keep their timed scores and try to beat their scores each session.

With this grant, we received eight hot dot pens and language arts and math cards that engage students in learning different skills. The students use the pens as a self-checking tool during centers.
